Chris Urban joined Ambrose Capital Group in 2007. As director, Chris is active in providing financial advisory services to the healthcare, senior housing and medical office building industries with particular experience in structuring and negotiating financing for emerging companies, most typically with institutional investors. In addition, Chris is responsible for Ambrose Capital’s outreach and marketing efforts, expanding the company’s visibility within the senior housing and healthcare industries.
Previously Chris served as an investment officer with one of the largest healthcare real estate investment trusts (REIT) based in the Midwest. Chris was responsible for the origination of senior housing and healthcare real estate investments nationwide, closing several hundred million dollars of new investments including financing for both acquisition and development projects. Prior to that, Chris was a founding member and principal of a nationally recognized healthcare consulting and appraisal firm.
Since entering the senior housing and healthcare industries in 1994, Chris has been a visible figure in the development of the senior housing sector. A frequent contributor for many senior housing industry studies, his publication credits include contributions for American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA), Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) and the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing and Care Industry (NIC). Chris has served as a member of the Board of Governors for the American Health Care Association (AHCA), representing the interests of the financial institution and vendor community within AHCA, the primary advocacy and lobby group for the skilled nursing and senior care industry and on the Board for the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL), the assisted living voice for AHCA.
Chris received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Arizona State University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Drexel University.
